My name is Lori and this is my page chronicling my breast reduction surgery, or also called reduction mammaplasty.

These are my personal accounts, and should not be taken as medical advice or anything other than just someone's own feelings and how I recovered from this surgery over the past (nearly) five years. I have shared my thoughts and feelings and added links to sites that may help others who are contemplating this operation to make an informed and educated decision. I found that the internet is a wealth of information concerning this surgery, and I wanted to share my experiences like so many have shared their feelings with me.

Why I decided to make this website…

I decided to make this website to help anyone who is out there and wants to know another's experience with this surgery. Anyone who knows me personally knows I enjoy making my own graphics and WebPages. I wanted to incorporate my hobby into something that may possibly help one person out there to decide if Breast Reduction is for them.

Breast reduction is one of those operations that people are either willing to talk about or they prefer to speak about it in hushed tones. Ask anyone who has had this surgery and they will tell you how happy they were to find others to speak freely about this operation. I know I sure was.

I have offered my feelings before and after surgery in the form of a journal on this website. I have also offered my photographs, before and after the surgery. Some of these pictures are semi nude to show the true benefits of this operation. These photos are not for any other use but to help women make an informed decision about having this surgery. If nudity offends you please do not click on the pictures tab below. These pictures are also graphic in the manner that they were taken a few days after surgery. If this offends you please do not click on the pictures tab below.

Please email me also if you have any personal questions for me. Note that my new Email address is webmaster@lorisbrjournal.freeservers.com. I had my surgery in August of 2000, and had a very uneventful recovery. Do not let any one mislead you, this is a serious operation, and it is not to be taken lightly. I am happy to answer questions regarding my personal experiences, but please remember I am not a medical doctor, and cannot answer questions that a qualified surgeon should. In our country, although great, we are obsessed with breast size and shape. I can personally attest to after having two children and breast feeding with genetically large breasts, mother nature can do things to our bodies that without surgery cannot be undone. The best advice I can give is do what you need to do for your body. I have made a very detailed journal (see link below) of my surgery and recovery, so please feel free to read and get many answers.

Please enjoy your visit...

Lori :-)
